Manufacturing steps

From log to finished piece

01

Selection

Togolese teak sorted by density, colour and straightness of grain. Only the finest pieces enter the workshop.

02

Drying

Natural, controlled drying to stabilise the wood and bring out the depth of the grain, without warping.

03

Shaping

Craft joinery in Lomé — every cut follows the grain to preserve the wood’s natural strength.

04

Assembly

Gap-free assembly, mortise-and-tenon joints and grooves designed to last decades without moving.

05

Finishing

Progressive sanding and a protective finish that lets the teak breathe and brings out its grain.

Joinery

Anatomy of a joint

No gaps, no compromise. Move the magnifier over the joint to judge the precision of the cut and the quality of the finish.
